If you’re looking to get some holiday shopping in, a massive new market coming to Calgary may have just what you’re looking for.
The Calgary Winter Market is taking over Eau Claire Plaza from Nov. 19 to Dec. 24, 2026, bringing more than a month of holiday shopping, festive food, and seasonal activities to the city.
The market will feature more than 40 wooden huts housing vendors selling unique gifts, handmade goods, and other finds, making it a great spot to browse for presents or pick up something special for yourself.
Designed to bring a little European charm to downtown Calgary, the outdoor market aims to create a cozy place for friends and family to gather and celebrate the holiday season.
The experience is inspired by hygge, a Scandinavian concept centred on warmth, comfort, and connection.

Aside from the market itself, there will be plenty of things to check out, like a carousel and the Brauhaus Tent, which will have seating and entertainment. There will also be live music, children’s activities, and more.
Visitors will also have the chance to enjoy authentic European-style food, holiday drinks, and cozy fire pits to warm up while they enjoy the festivities.
The market is set to run from Thursday to Sunday from Nov. 19 to Dec. 13 before opening daily from Dec. 15 to 24, giving Calgarians plenty of opportunities to stop by during the holiday season.
