Beltline Urban Mural Festival 2019

What: The four-day event will feature free artist talks, walking tours, and multiple parties to celebrate the new artwork in the city, and when all is said, done, and painted, there will be a total of 15 new pieces bringing colour to Calgary. Artists involved in this year’s BUMP include Fluke, Daleast, Cinta Vidal, Reza Nik, Labrona, Fats, Troy Lovegates, TheKidBelo, Luke Ramsey, Mary Haasdyk, Kevin Cardinal, Mike Valcourt, Lacey & Layla, Kyle Simmers, and Guido Van Helten.

What: Le Dîner en Blanc Calgary returns for its 7th annual run this August 28. The all-white-everything pop-up dinner party is an elegant event that has white-clad diners enjoying eats al fresco. Just a reminder that this event has some rules: you have to wear white and you must bring a table, chairs, and a tablecloth (all white of course) and as always, the location for Dîner en Blanc will be kept a secret until the day of the event, which goes on rain or shine. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Le Dîner en Blanc de Paris, which launched in the city of love in 1988 thanks to François Pasquier and a handful of friends.

Pure Cycle – Outdoors

What: The City of Calgary is partnering with Apple Fitness to offer free pop up Outdoor Pure Cycle classes at New Brighton Athletic Park. Each class length is 55 minutes and can be attended by anyone 13 years and up. Proper footwear and workout gear is required, and attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to start time for bike set up. Sheltered classes will take place if there is rain.
