Popular Mexican restaurant set to open a new Calgary location soon

A Calgary-born restaurant, known for its Mexican eats and extensive tequila selection, is gearing up to expand.

Anejo, a YYC favourite, is officially headed south, with a new outpost set to open in Seton at 4015 Market St. SE.

The restaurant draws inspiration from the Mexican state of Jalisco and Central Mexico, offering a huge menu of dishes, including coconut shrimp, mezcal adobo mushrooms, and fresh guacamole prepared tableside.

Anejo’s tacos are also a must-try, with fillings including beef barbacoa, crispy fish, chicken tinga, pork carnitas, and more.

The restaurant is also home to Canada’s largest selection of tequila and agave spirits, with more than 200 bottles available. Whether you prefer your tequila in cocktail form or you’re looking to expand your palate with a flight, Anejo has an extensive drink menu to test out.
