If you’re on the hunt to experience the great outdoors, one spot in Alberta was just named a must-visit in the world for adventure travellers.
The attention for Alberta comes from far away, with the newspaper The Times of India recently dropping its list of the five most famous glaciers in the world that every adventure traveller must visit at least once.

The newspaper touted the Athabasca Glacier as one of the most frequently accessed and researched glaciers in North America, with its location along the Icefields Parkway making it “surprisingly accessible.”
The fact that visitors can also walk right out onto the glacier by using specially designed snow coaches or walking excursions was also a highlight for its inclusion.
Jasper National Park is no stranger to receiving some global attention. Recently, the oldest continuously published newspaper in Australia tapped the park as one of the most underrated destinations in the world, while another magazine touted a hiking trail in the park as one of the best globally.
