Alberta’s province-wide food festival returns — here are the 40+ Calgary restaurants to check out

An Alberta-wide food festival kicks off this week, with restaurants all over the province set to take part.
Alberta on the Plate, the huge 10-day dine-out festival, kicks off on Friday, Aug. 7, and runs until Sunday, Aug. 16, with restaurants offering multi-course menus designed to showcase the very best of what the province has to offer from local producers, growers, distillers, and brewers.
More than 40 restaurants in and around Calgary will be taking part in the event this year, with participating spots ranging from fine dining to casual eateries. Each establishment will also offer recommended local pairings that can be added alongside the meal.
