New, non-stop seasonal service from Vancouver to Minnesota

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has announced that a new airline will be operating out of the terminal come 2020.

On Wednesday, the airport announced in a release that Sun Country Airlines, a US-based ultra-low-cost-airline, will begin seasonal non-stop service from Vancouver to Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.

“Known as the Twin Cities, Minneapolis-St. Paul is an incredibly diverse area with an abundance of cultural attractions, outdoor recreation, and world-class shopping,” says YVR. “The addition of this new route adds another great travel option for Canadians looking for a summer getaway, all while furthering YVR’s position as a world-class sustainable hub airport.”

Vancouver International Airport adds that Sun Country Airlines is an “award-winning airline” and a “leader in leisure travel.” This is also the airlines’ first-ever route to Canada in the company’s 36-year-history.

Fights to Minneapolis-St. Paul will begin on May 20, 2020, taking place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
