Langley RCMP are investigating what they describe as the “sudden” death of a woman at an residence in Aldergrove this past Friday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to the home 27500 block of 31B Avenue, just after 2 pm, where a 72 year-old woman was found deceased.
A man was was taken into custody, and now investigators are working with the BC Coroner’s Service to collect information and evidence to determine the woman’s cause of death.
And while it is still early in the investigation, police said they have “no reason to believe” there is any danger to the general public in connection with this case.

Langley General Investigative Service is maintaining conduct of this investigation, and police said no further information will be made available until the autopsy is completed.
