Woman and child struck by vehicle in Vancouver

Vancouver Police are investigating after a woman and child were hit by a vehicle on Tuesday in the city’s West Side.

Details on the incident are slim at this point, but according to VPD Const. Tania Visintin, it happened in the area of West 37th Avenue and Oak Street.

“Both have been transported to hospital for precautionary measures,” she told Daily Hive.

The injuries to both victims have been designated as non-life threatening, and both “appear to be doing fine in hospital.”

As for the circumstances surrounding the details of the crash, Visintin said “information on how this incident happened is not being released at this time.”
