Winter storm watch in effect for Sea to Sky Highway

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch in effect for the Sea to Sky Highway.
According to the weather agency, a total of 15 to 20 cm of snow is expected to fall between Tuesday night and Wednesday due to “a moisture-laden frontal wave” moving across southern BC.

“The snow will be wet and significant accumulation isn’t expected until early Wednesday morning,” Environment Canada says in a bulletin. “The likeliest snowfall accumulation will be over sections that are above 200 metres.”
Environment Canada notes that “rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.”
