The Vancouver Whitecaps are anticipating a big crowd for their final home game of the season.
When the Whitecaps face the Seattle Sounders on Nov. 1, the team plans to open the upper bowl of BC Place for just the second time this year.

The last time the Whitecaps opened the upper bowl was on Aug. 1 for their first game back at BC Place after the World Cup, which also happened to be a much-anticipated rematch with Los Angeles FC, their playoff opponent in the 2025 Western Conference Semifinal.
40,086 people attended that match, easily the biggest crowd of the season for the Whitecaps, who rank ninth in MLS in average attendance.
While the Whitecaps have not yet sold out the lower bowl for the game on Nov. 1, only a limited number of tickets are still available. The Whitecaps have opened up sections 437 to 445 on the southeast side of BC Place, but could open up additional sections if tickets sell out.

The second-biggest crowd at a Whitecaps game this year was a lower-bowl sellout of 27,589 in April.
The Whitecaps are currently first in the Western Conference, three points up on St. Louis City SC and FC Dallas, while having played one fewer game than both of those teams.
While the Whitecaps have not yet officially clinched a playoff berth, they’re all but guaranteed to qualify for the playoffs with one of the best records in MLS, so they should host at least one playoff game at BC Place this year.
