Whistler Sliding Centre is hosting a "Turkey Slide" this Thanksgiving

Oct 9 2019, 7:40 pm

Taking place on both Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13, Passenger Bobsleigh will be offered at 12:30 pm for $149 per person, per session.

After an orientation, participants slide down the track in a four-person bobsled — driven by a professional pilot — through 10 corners at speeds of 125+ km/h and the acceleration of up to four g-forces.

No previous experience is required to participate, although the minimum age is 14, and some physical restrictions apply.

Additional pre-season Passenger Bobsleigh sessions will be offered on October 18 and 19 (4:30pm) and November 9 and 10 (1:30pm).

The regular public sliding season with daily rides will start on December 20.

The on-ice season will go until late March 2020. Spectating in the public areas and self-guided sightseeing are available free of charge (except special events), the weekly track schedule is available online.
