You can learn to ski or snowboard for just $25 at Whistler this weekend

Just in time for the start of ski season, Whistler’s Never Ever Days program returns to the mountain this weekend, giving adults who want to learn to ski or snowboard the chance to give it a try for just $25.

For that price, the program allows adult newbies from BC or Washington state to get rentals, a lift ticket, a lesson, and après at the Garibaldi Lift Company on either Saturday, December 7 or Sunday, December 8.

Presented by ICBC and now in its ninth year at Whistler Blackcomb, the program is meant to give adults who have never gone skiing or snowboarding an easy, accessible, and affordable opportunity to give snow sports a try.

The program itself was started by one of Whistler’s Snow School senior managers.

“We are so proud that a program pioneered at Whistler Blackcomb is being taken on by ski areas across Canada through the guidance of Canadian Ski Council,” said Bartosz Barczynski, General Manager of Adult Ski and Snowboard School at Whistler Blackcomb. “Enticing new people into winter sports is important for our business and can be a challenge with adults.”

As such, he continued, “Never Ever Days have been a proven success for us and we’re thrilled to be able to share it with people from all over the country.”

Each participant in Whistler Blackcomb’s Never Ever Days is asked to bring pants a jacket and goggles – although some clothing will be available for those who do not have enough gear. Skis, boots, bindings, poles, or snowboard set-ups are all included.

Those interested in taking part – or finding out more abut the program – can find more information on the resort’s website.
