Here's where to buy THE Bernie Sanders mittens
By now, you’ve probably seen the mittens worn by Bernie Sanders on his campaign trail and most recently at US President Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20.
The cozy mittens were made by Jen Ellis, a teacher from Essex Junction, Vermont, who gave them to Bernie over two years ago. They are made from repurposed wool sweaters and are lined with fleece made from recycled plastic bottles.

Ellis was taking orders via email, prompting several interested buyers to ask her to set up a Shopify or Etsy account.
She took to Twitter on Wednesday to explain that her mittens are currently sold out; however, orders can be placed through her old business partner via email.
Several other Etsy shops also sell handmade mittens that are just as warm and stylish as Bernie’s.
Daily Hive has reached out to Ellis for comment.
