WestJet has revealed its 2026 summer schedule, including a new direct flight between Vancouver and a sunny B.C. spot.

Travellers will be able to fly directly between Vancouver and Penticton five times a week beginning May 15, 2026.

The new seasonal route will end on Oct. 24, 2026.

“This new route will serve both business and leisure guests by giving them the opportunity to seamlessly connect between the two cities and beyond Vancouver to an extensive range of domestic, transborder and international destinations,” WestJet said in a release.

The flights can already be booked on WestJet’s website, and there are some great deals to be had if you’re looking to go to Penticton around next summer.

We put together a booking at the time of this publication and found that with taxes and fees included, you could book a return trip mid-May for around $325. Those prices are subject to change.

Penticton is known for its beaches, its wine, and its outdoor recreation scene. Some popular activities in the B.C. city include mountain biking, rock climbing and kayaking. Visit Penticton calls it an “outdoor adventure mecca, offering some of the purest adventure pursuits within the Okanagan.”

If you were to drive, the trip from downtown Vancouver to Penticton would take around five hours.

This new route joins a plethora of various direct flight routes, both seasonal and non-seasonal, that were announced over the course of the year. Most recently, Flair announced that it was bringing back a direct flight route between Vancouver and Montreal.
