Flair bringing back cheap direct flight from Vancouver to Montreal

It’ll be a lot easier and cheaper to get to Montreal next spring, as Flair has announced it’s bringing back a cheap direct route from Vancouver.
Flair says the new route is going to launch on April 15, 2026, and will be flying out to the Paris of North America seven times a week.
The starting fares for travelling from YVR to YUL are $124, and travelling from YUL to YVR is $139.

The Vancouver-Montreal connection has existed in the past, and we’ve seen other airlines reintroduce their seasonal flights over the past year.
“By reintroducing popular routes like Toronto–St. John’s (YYZ–YYT) and Vancouver–Montreal (YVR–YUL), and adding a new connection between Toronto and Moncton (YYZ–YQM), we’re giving Canadians even more ways to explore this incredible country without stretching their budgets,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines, in a statement.
This news follows the introduction of Flair FWD, a new initiative from the airline to make travel “simpler, smarter and more affordable for Canadians.”
You can already book the reintroduced route. We punched in a roundtrip using Flair’s bare bundle, departing on April 15 and returning on April 24, and were left with a total of $274.50, including taxes and fees.
Punching in the same details via Air Canada left us with a total of over $500, so there are definitely savings to be had.
Beyond this new Montreal flight, many new Vancouver routes have been announced over the past couple of months, most of them regional. A couple of examples include a new route between Vancouver and Quesnel, B.C., and another route from Seair connecting Vancouver and Victoria, which the airline claims is the fastest option between the two cities.
