A Mercedes-Benz is in need of some serious repairs after it was allegedly mangled up by a motorcyclist in West Vancouver in a road rage incident.
According to details shared by the West Vancouver Police Department (WVPD), the incident occurred on Monday, Sept. 8, just before 8 p.m.
WVPD said that a motorcyclist pulled up next to the Mercedes on the Taylor Way off-ramp of Highway 1 Eastbound. The WVPD stated that the drivers of their respective vehicles had an exchange of words, and things apparently escalated after that.
“The motorcyclist is alleged to have smashed the Mercedes driver’s side-view mirror and damaged the front door and fender panels,” WVPD said.
The department has also shared a description of the suspect, describing him as a heavy-built male riding a smaller black motorcycle with twin black tailpipes without a fairing or windshield. During the attack, he was wearing a black helmet, a black graphic hoodie, and grey shorts.

WVPD said it hasn’t yet determined all of the facts about this case, but it is offering a reminder and warning to all drivers.
“Unsafe driving behaviours and conflict on the roads will not be tolerated. Disagreements that escalate to violence, property damage, or aggressive driving can result in violation tickets or criminal charges. We encourage all road users to avoid engaging in confrontations and instead report dangerous driving to the police.”
