Filmmakers in Vancouver won’t want to miss this workshop.
Jay Clarke, the storyboard artist behind such films as The Grand Budapest Hotel and Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the WereRabbit, will walk through the development and production of Isle of Dogs, his most recent project with award winning director Wes Anderson.
Over the course of the night, Clarke will participate in live drawing sessions and describe his drawing philosophy, sources of inspiration, and techniques for bringing human emotion into animated characters.
Clarke recently hosted the 90-minute workshop at the Berlin Film Festival to a packed house.
Tickets to the event are already unavailable, but VIFF is looking to schedule a second workshop.
