The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is hosting a free outdoor concert in Burnaby

Jun 1 2019, 5:22 am

Outdoor concerts and a warm summer evening are two things that seem to fit hand in hand perfectly.

A prime example being the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s (VSO) Symphony in the Park, a free, annual outdoor concert held every summer at the Festival Lawn at Deer Lake Park.

The concert is a fantastic opportunity to hear an evening of live music performed by some of Vancouver’s most talented musicians – and best of all, it’s free!

The 32nd-anniversary performance will include pieces from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, John Williams’ Adventures on Earth, and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet.

Guests are advised to arrive early and bring their own lawn chair or blanket, as well as some snacks.

Parking is limited, so be sure to give extra time and arrive well in advance if you decide to drive.

The concert will begin at 7 pm.
