The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is issuing a warning to the public about a high-risk sex offender who was released today and will be living in the city.
Shaun Deacon is serving a sentence on a Long Term Supervision Order for possession of and accessing child pornography.
“Vancouver police believe compelling reasons exist to warn the public that Deacon poses a high risk to children – predominantly boys – in the community,” said VPD in a release.

Deacon is the latest high-risk sex offender to live in Vancouver
Earlier in November, the Vancouver Police issued a warning about Tyler Gordon Strathdee, who was recently released from custody and is now living in a halfway house in Vancouver.
And in September, VPD warned that Randall Peter Hopley, who has been convicted of sexual assault and abduction of persons under 14 years old, was released in the community on a recalculated statutory release date.
