The wait is finally over for pizza-loving, meatless eaters near UBC because Virtuous Pie is finally opening the doors to its second Vancouver location.
The beloved plant-based pizzeria and ice cream purveyor is known for serving up piping hot veggie-masterpieces from their OG Chinatown location since 2016 (along with an outpost in Portland since 2017).
Located at 3339 Shrum Lane in Wesbrook Mall on the campus, the new 2,000 square-foot spot will open to patrons on Wednesday, February 28.
Picture the Virtuous Pie you know and love but bigger – bigger space, bigger menu.
In addition to the well-established menu, the new spot boasts vegan soft serve ice cream (vanilla, strawberry), Matchstick Coffee, local goodies from Dipped Doughnut Co., house-made breakfast pastries, and pizza by the slice (available from Monday to Friday).
There will also be two new pizzas up for grabs – the Pesto CBR (bianca, pesto marinated chicken, sundried tomatoes, cashew mozzarella, house-made bacon, garlic ranch, and rocket), and the Peking Express (five spice onion cream, hoisin pulled mushrooms, cashew mozzarella, gai-lan, scallion ginger sauce, crispy shallots, and sesame).
Other new eats include weekend brunch items like the steak and eggs breakfast pizza and a Middle Eastern-inspired breakfast skillet (available at Wesbrook starting mid-March from 10 am to 2:30 pm).
To drink, a line-up of local beer, wine, and kombucha on tap, along with Blume turmeric and beet lattes.
This new location will be open Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 10 pm, Friday from 8 am to 11 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm.
Online ordering for pick-up will be available right away while delivery via Doordash will commence in the Spring.
