Breakfast Ramen?! Here's your first look at Gyoza Bar's Japanese brunch
One of Downtown Vancouver’s most popular contemporary Japanese restaurants, Gyoza Bar, is gearing up to launch their first ever brunch on Sunday, March 4 at noon.

Patrons can expect familiar flavour profiles signature to the West Pender Street restaurant integrated into mashups of traditional breakfast items and Japanese-style dishes.
Menu highlights include the pulled pork bao benny (poached organic eggs, creamy maple miso hollandaise, and togarashi spiced kimchi corn hash), okonomiyaki and chicken karaage (savoury Japanese pancake topped with sweet and sour soy glazed chicken and Asian slaw), and the exclusive brunch item bacon ‘n egg ramen (smoked soy chicken broth, crispy bacon, and sunny side up egg).
Brunch lovers can also feast on the Teppan Bistro Fillet Steak from the lunch menu and two teishoku (set meals) which include a main, soup, rice, and sides.
One of these is the new signature Gyoza Bar Brunch Teishoku (hearty albacore tuna tataki rice bowl, onsen tamago, seiro mushi steamed tender shrimp, and vegetables, and wakame dashi soup) and the other is Teppan Keema Curry Brunch Set (48-hour braised Japanese curry, ground pork, miso tofu salad, sous-vide egg, and soup).
There will also be a tailored drink menu including offerings like the Komosa (kombucha mimosa) and the strawberry pistachio frozen cocktail alongside this spot’s signature gyoza and ramen.
The new service will be available Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 pm, and reservations can be made to confirm your table.
