'Vegas-style' pool party will take over Robson St. for BC Lions this weekend
The BC Lions are back and they’re looking to make a splash.
Ousted from BC Place due to the FIFA World Cup since the beginning of the CFL season, the Lions finally return to their home stadium on Saturday.
The Lions have gotten more creative with promoting the team ever since Amar Doman bought the franchise in 2021. And this weekend is no exception.
Prior to kickoff of their 4 p.m. game against the Toronto Argonauts, the Lions are hosting a “Vegas-style” pool party on Robson Street. It includes three large inflatable pools that will be set up on the 100-block of Robson St. beginning at noon.
The Lions are encouraging fans to put on their swimsuits and take a dip.Ā If only they had coordinated this with the Pamela Anderson look-alike contest they held last September.

DJ Peter All Good will be serving up the music, while a foam machine promises to add to the ambiance.
The party, which extends into Terry Fox Plaza, includes food trucks from B&B Burgers, Little Devils Wood Fire Pizza, as well as $5 beers, White Claws, and Tequila Roar to beat the heat.
The Uproar dance team and Crazy P will be there, along with Lions alumni Bo Lokombo and Lucky Whitehead, who will be signing autographs. The Lions have also said there’ll be live entertainment, games, and other activations for the event.

Lions tickets begin at $25, plus fees.
There are just seven Lions games at BC Place this season, as the team played their first two home games in Kelowna.
