COVID-19 exposures reported at 10 more Vancouver Coastal Health schools

Vancouver Coastal Health has added new COVID-19 exposure warnings for 10 schools within the health region.

In Richmond, Steveston-London Secondary is reporting an exposure from November 24 to 26, Hugh Boyd Secondary is reporting one from November 25 to 26, and R.J. Tait Elementary is reporting one from November 23 to 24. Az-Zahraa Islamic Academy also had someone show up while contagious on November 25 and 26.

Three public elementary schools in Vancouver are also reporting new exposures. Thunderbird Elementary had one from November 25 to 26, Walter Moberly had one from November 25 to 26, and Sir Wilfrid Grenfell had one from November 23 to 26.

Private Vancouver Catholic school Our Lady of Perpetual Help is also reporting a new exposure from November 24 to 25.

In North Vancouver, two French-language high schools are alerting families to new exposures. École Windsor Secondary had one on November 23 and again from November 25 to 27, and École Handsworth Secondary had one from November 26 to 27.

Contact tracers work to notify close contacts of patients directly, and those who did not receive a phone call can attend school as normal.
