Vancouver's beloved Sakura Days Japan Fair returns this weekend (CONTEST)

One of Vancouver’s largest events in April is making its much-awaited return.

This weekend, the 10th annual Sakura Days Japan Fair is being held at the VanDusen Botanical Garden.

The event, held in partnership with the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival (VCBF) celebrates the yearly cherry blossoms and the spring season in our city.

Visitors are invited to enjoy the amazing spectacles, live performances, and all things Japanese culture.

Not to mention – a superb lineup of authentic Japanese eats.

Some of the food available at this weekend’s event include artisan sake, ramen, Japadog, takoyaki, Wakwak burgers, and Japanese-style crepes.

The fair will also include hands-on workshops, like calligraphy, origami, and other Japanese arts and crafts demonstrations.

The Sakura Days Japan Fair will take place, rain or shine, on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. Anyone going is advised to bring cash, although there will be an ATM at the event.

Tickets are available both online and at the gate.

Sakura Days Japan Fair 2019

When: Saturday, April 13 to Sunday, April 14
Time: Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm; Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm
Where: VanDusen Botanical Garden – 5251 Oak Street, Vancouver
Tickets: General admission costs $12; tickets can be purchased at the event
