A Vancouver woman confronted the person who was charged with breaking and entering her home.
On Aug. 19, a homeowner at Grant Street and Victoria Drive was in her house. She went downstairs, where “she was face-to-face with the suspect.”
Allegedly, the man grabbed several items, then fled.
“Neighbours heard the woman scream and quickly called police, providing officers with a description of the fleeing suspect,” states the press release from the Vancouver Police Department.
Police in the area found a man who matched the description and arrested him with assistance from the Canine Unit. Some of the stolen property was returned to the victim.
The suspect has been charged with one count of break-and-enter.
“We’re thankful the neighbours promptly reported the incident,” says Constable Megan Lui. “They provided information that helped our officers make the arrest.”
