Vancouver is getting a winter weather turnaround this weekend

Winter this year in Vancouver has been relatively dry and cold, with sunny skies and snow on the ground.

But that’s set to change this weekend when our familiar grey skies, rain, and milder temperatures will return.

Environment and Climate Change Canada forecasts rain and periods of snow on Saturday for Vancouver, moving to just rain with daily highs of 8°C next week.

So you may be able to put away your parka for now and whip out your trusty rain jacket or umbrella. Vancouver’s typical winter rain is making a return just in time for the Family Day long weekend.
