We’re still well over a month away from the official start of spring (March 20), but the Vancouver weather forecast predicts that things are going to be heating up a lot sooner.
Considering the conditions that some other parts of Canada are experiencing the next few days, like -20˚C weather in Toronto, -18˚C in Montreal, or near -10˚C in Edmonton, the Vancouver forecast might make some folks jealous.
After a few more days of rain and temperatures around 9˚C, Vancouver will see clearer conditions next week with highs of 14˚C expected.

Vancouver is still under a yellow rainfall warning until Friday afternoon, with the warning calling for total rainfall amounts of between 60 and 90 mm. The warning is in effect for the North Shore, City of Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.
“A frontal system currently over the South Coast continues to produce rain today. Heavy rain will redevelop later this morning with an additional 20 mm expected. The heavy rain will ease to a few showers this afternoon,” Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says.
In a recent conversation with ECCC Meteorologist Ken Dosanjh, Daily Hive learned that the second half of February could be quite a bit warmer.
“Once we are in February, there are some weak signals for drier than normal conditions for the first two weeks of the month, said Dosanjh. “We’re also noticing a low probability of warmer temperatures. So for the latter half of February it could be wetter.
While Vancouver’s forecast is looking quite promising once the rain clears, there’s one city that has it beat, depending on your weather preferences.
Calgary is forecast to experience temperatures that feel more like summer, with a high of 18˚C expected next week, but the temperatures are fluctuating quite a bit. Calgary has the advantage of a dry forecast, unless you’re a fan of the rain.
