The Vancouver forecast for February is out, and it’s looking like the weather will stay wet and warm to continue 2026.
According to Environment and Climate Change (ECCC) meteorologist Ken Dosanjh, the last few days of January and the beginning of February will continue to have temperatures warmer than normal.
No snow is in the forecast for Metro Vancouver, though rain is sticking around for the foreseeable future.

“Last week we had lots of frost. This week, with more clouds and rain now, overnight lows will be well above normal,” explained Dosanjh.
“Freezing levels will stay at 1,000 metres or above, so there will be no snowfall at this time.”
The Vancouver forecast for the start of the first week of February is calling for plenty of rain and showers, with a daytime high of up to 11°C from Sunday, Feb. 1, through to Tuesday, and a jump up to 13°C on Wednesday.
Overnight lows continue to hover around 5°C near the start of February.

ECCC’s Canadian Climate Normals Data shows that the daily average temperature in December for Vancouver is 4.7°C. The month averages 84.6 mm of rainfall.
However, there is a slight chance that things could soon dry out in the Vancouver weather outlook.
“Once we are in February, there are some weak signals for drier than normal conditions for the first two weeks of the month, said Dosanjh. “We’re also noticing a low probability of warmer temperatures. So for the latter half of February it could be wetter.
“Things will continue to transition, and daily weather will continue to fluctuate.”
