It promises to be one of the craziest atmospheres in BC Place history.

The Vancouver Whitecaps are still more than two weeks away from playing their next playoff game, which is taking place on Saturday, Nov. 22, against Los Angeles FC.

Despite the achingly long wait until their next match, the Whitecaps have sold the majority of tickets available in BC Place.

A Whitecaps spokesperson told Daily Hive yesterday that the team has sold almost 50,000 tickets, with full capacity expected to be a little over 52,000.

There are currently no unsold tickets available; however, a club spokesperson confirmed that some tickets have yet to be released.

For fans who want to buy tickets now, they’ll have to pay a premium on the second-hand market.

According to Ticketmaster, the cheapest pair of tickets for the Whitecaps Semi-Final match is retailing for $133.10 a seat.

And, there’s only one of those sets of tickets available.

The next cheapest prices in the upper bowl are $151 for a ticket. Regular tickets in the upper bowl are typically about one-third of that price.

For fans who want to sit in the lower bowl, tickets start at $240.

There are fans on the resale market who are really trying to capitalize on the Whitecaps’ success. The most expensive ticket seen on Ticketmaster was listed for $2,420 ($2,000 sale price plus a $420 service fee).

During the Whitecaps’ last playoff match at BC Place, club seats were going for only $189.

Vancouver will try to make history when they battle LAFC at BC Place. The team has never made it to the Conference Finals since joining the MLS in 2011.

They entered the MLS Cup Playoffs as favourites to emerge as Western Conference champions; however, they were only slightly favoured ahead of LAFC.
