A 20-year-old woman is facing second-degree murder charges in connection with a homicide in Vancouver’s West End earlier this month.

Just before 4 pm on October 13, officers were called to an apartment in the area of Jervis Street and Harwood Street.

And now, Vancouver resident Brooklyn Gola has been charged in connection with the death of 34-year-old Marline Mars, from Vancouver as well.

“Investigators feel that the only person responsible for this crime is Ms. Gola, who has been arrested and is currently in custody,” said VPD Sgt. Jason Robillard in a release.

The investigation is still continuing and investigators are asking anyone with information about this homicide to contact VPD homicide at 604-717-2500, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or leave a tip online at solvecrime.ca.
