Car lovers, start your engines! The annual Vancouver All British Field Meet (ABFM) will be held at VanDusen Botanical Garden on Saturday, May 17.
Hundreds of classic cars will be on display during the Greatest Show on British Wheels, an event open to all ages.
The event is celebrating its 38th anniversary with vintage automobiles from owners across the city, British Columbia, and further afield.

Playland 2025

Broadway Across Canada – Six

IGNITE! Youth Festival
What: Every year, the Cultch Theatre in East Vancouver is taken over by a team of young artists who put on the IGNITE! Festival, Western Canada’s largest youth-driven arts festival. The 24th year of the festival features short plays, poetry, stand-up comedy, monologues, dance, live music, and a short film program.
There will also be an arts exhibition in The Cultch’s lobby from May 14 to June 1.

77th Annual Cloverdale Rodeo Parade

Cloverdale Rodeo
What: The 77th Annual Cloverdale Rodeo Parade takes place on Saturday, May 17, with dozens of floats and over 1,000 participants. Guests of all ages can expect to see marching bands, vintage cars, local businesses, and dozens of elaborately decorated floats during the annual event.
This year’s 77th-anniversary Cloverdale Rodeo and 133rd Annual Country Fair runs from Friday, May 16, to Monday, May 19. Guests can check out the live competitions, entertainment, midway rides, food trucks, and more.

Mel Zajac Jr. International Swim Meet
What: The Mel Zajac Jr. International Swim Meet is the largest meet of its kind in Western Canada, and began in 1963 as a way to bring elite swimming talent to Vancouver to race local athletes.
This year’s event features five-time Olympic medalist Kylie Masse, four-time World Aquatics Championships medalist Josh Liendo, and several standout UBC Thunderbirds swimmers, including Finlay Knox, Blake Tierney and Emma O’Croinin.

Blueprint Events presents Foundation Volume 13.0 – Open Radius at the PNE Centre Grounds on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. The concert features two open-air stages filled with massive house music stars like John Summit and Sara Landry.

East Meets West – A Musical Fusion of Cultures

The performance will feature the New Westminster Symphony Orchestra with conductor Jin Zhang, Iranian vocalist Sina Sarlak, and music composed by Kambiz Roshanravan.

Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival

What: The Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival series is hosting a huge event at Fort Langley Park on Saturday, May 17. The event will feature live music, fun activities like lawn games and beer pong, and more.
More than 60 drinks from local favourites like Dageraad, Backcountry Brewing, Trading Post Brewing Co., and Dead Frog Brewery will be available at the festival. Food trucks and other refreshments, such as local cider, kombucha, seltzer, and wine, will also be offered on-site.
