You can fly from Vancouver to Japan for under $600 this fall

You’re in luck because China Eastern Airlines has dropped the price of some of their flights from Vancouver to Niigata, Japan, down to CAD $585 roundtrip, taxes in.
According to YVR Deals, the flights have a 3.5-hour layover in Shanghai on the way there and a seven-hour layover on the return home.
“The Niigata prefecture is not nearly as famous as places like Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka. It’s a hidden gem that has a lot to offer,” says YVR Deals.
The flights are available in October and November 2019. Take advantage of this deal because tickets can cost over $1,500 for a roundtrip, regularly.
Here’s how to book the deal:
1. Go to Skyscanner
2. Search for a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to Niigata, Japan (KIJ) and try one of the following date combinations:
- Oct. 22 to Oct. 30
- Oct. 22 to Nov. 6
- Oct. 22 to Nov. 9
YVR Deals notes that there are other dates available for a $529 roundtrip but these have a 16-hour layover in Shanghai on the way there. The dates for these include:
- Oct. 28 to Nov. 13
- Nov. 11 to Nov. 27
- Nov. 25 to Dec. 11
