Vancouver Sun Run closing major roads and bridges in the city this weekend

The Vancouver Sun Run will bring tens of thousands of runners to neighbourhoods throughout the city this weekend, and several road closures and detours will be in place for the massive event.
Canada’s largest 10k road race returns on Sunday, April 27, with over 40,000 participants expected for the 41st annual event. Registration for the 2025 event is still open, and costumes are highly encouraged.
Organizers are warning commuters of traffic impacts throughout the race course and encourage Vancouver Sun Run participants to give themselves plenty of time to get to the start line.
