Vancouver restaurants and cafes temporarily close due to COVID-19

Several Vancouver restaurants and cafes have announced temporary closures due to COVID-19 cases and contact within their staff over the weekend.
Here are the establishments that have temporarily paused their operations in Vancouver, just in case you planned to head to these spots anytime this week.
- Nook Kitsilano (anticipated to reopen on January 15)
- Nightingale (anticipated to reopen on January 19)
- Breka Fraser Street (no reopen date released yet)
Health officials in British Columbia are scheduled to give a live COVID-19 update on Monday afternoon.

The announcement will include several reporting periods. It follows a total of 617 new coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the province to 56,632.
