Hooked Poke Bar

Hooked Poke Bar

Daily Hive

Looks like Vancouver’s downtown core is down a spot to grab our favourite diced, raw fish dish: Hooked Poke Bar appears to be no longer in operation. The 995 Hornby Street corner unit now has a “For Lease” sign propped up in the window and the laid-back casual eatery’s website looks to have been taken down or expired.

White Spot (Cardero and Georgia)

The 1616 W Georgia location of the popular family of restaurants served up its last plates of signature burgers and fries before closing permanently on Saturday, November 28.

A popular destination for food and drinks on the Granville Strip in downtown Vancouver is shutting down temporarily, the latest in a laundry list of closures in an industry hammered by COVID-19. The Living Room restaurant and bar inside Hotel Belmont is closing down for the foreseeable future.

This iconic establishment confirmed in a post on Instagram that it would continue to operate “a little longer” due to the demand they’ve seen from the public. No new closing date was shared, but the eatery did confirm that staff would be taking a break from January 1 to 13 before re-opening the restaurant on January 14, 2021.
