Glades Garden Openings
What: This special woodland garden is home to many species of rare and unusual rhododendrons, azaleas, and fine heritage trees. Follow the meandering paths, pause by the ponds and discover for yourself, the story of The Glades.

Lazuli Bunting Walk
What: Search for migratory birds including spectacular Lazuli Buntings on a guided birding walk. Bring binoculars if you own them. Presented by Colony Farm Park Association, for all ages.

Coho Bon Voyage
What: Release coho salmon fry, see the fish hatchery and discover the ecological importance of salmon. Presented by Bowen Island Fish & Wildlife Club. Free for all ages.

Casual Birding Walk
What: Check out shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors and more on this 2.5-hour birdwatching amble. The event is presented by Delta Naturalists and asks that you bring binoculars. Ages 9+ are welcome.

Sunday in the Park
What: Celebrate Father’s Day by taking dad to the beach. Learn about animal ‘fathers’ and nature at Boundary Bay, fill up on a pancake breakfast, enjoy live music and more. Presented by Boundary Bay Park Association & Tsawwassen/Boundary Bay Lions Club. All ages.

Seek the Peak 2019
What: Think you’ve got what it takes to climb 4,100 feet. Whether you’re a seasoned Grouse Grind veteran or just willing to try anything out for a good cause, the 15th annual Seek the Peak is for you. Racers who wish to test their fitness, stamina, and mental toughness can either tackle the race on their own or split up the 13 km race amongst a team.

National Indigenous People’s Day: Community Paddle and Feast
What: Celebrate National Indigenous People’s Day in a canoe or watch from the pier as Ta-ah Amy George and Cultural Leader Charlene Aleck lead a water blessing ceremony for the Burrard Inlet. Hear the different songs and witness the traditional ocean-going canoes from neighbouring First Nations. Share in a community feast, and enjoy live entertainment and a giveaway.

Terminal City Roller Derby Seawall Brawl
What: Come celebrate summer in Vancouver and watch Team Terminal City take on the Smokin’ Laces at this free outdoor bout! There will be beach blanket bleachers and a lawn chair penalty box. Whistle at 10:30 am. Bring your swimsuit, sunscreen and smiles.

Walk Richmond – London Farm
