It’s rare to go a day in Vancouver without seeing someone wearing a pair of Vans. The footwear and apparel brand is known for being effortlessly cool, and that’s what we love about it.

From May 30 to June 2, Vans will be bringing their legendary House of Vans pop-up to Vancouver ā€” for the first time ever.

Taking place at the Harbour Convention Centre, the densely-packed, four-day celebration is somewhere that you can let your imagination loose and find creative inspiration around every corner.

As a cultural hub, House of Vans has permanent locations in New York, Chicago, Illinois, and London, with pop-ups visiting cities around the world. These locations bring Vans’ pillars of action sports, music, art, and street culture, to life.

Now for the first time in Vancouver, you can enjoy skating at a custom indoor skatepark designed in partnership with theĀ skateboard community, listen to live music, check out art installations, join a workshop, play games (ring toss, anyone?), and much more.

The best part? It’s completely free to attend each day of the all-ages event.Ā Here’s a look at the can’t-miss lineup.

Day 1: Thursday, May 30

You won’t want to miss the “Best Trick” contest during which you’ll see skateboarding pros show off their skills on the ramps.

Check out theĀ Good Neighbours Canadian video retrospective, Instagram-worthy art installations, and dance to your heart’s content at the live music session.

Day 3: Saturday, June 1 and Day 4: Sunday, June 2

Get on your skateboard early for the House of Vans weekend events which start at 10 am and run until midnight on Saturday, and 10 pm on Sunday. There’s going to be a Get on Board girls skate clinic, Skate Skool workshop and BMX-only free-ride sessions, as well as a timeslot for open skate.

Sample local food and drinks at the Street Market, check out the all-day art installations, and if you missed theĀ Good Neighbours Canadian video retrospective, it will also be shown on both days at the weekend.
