An immersive, light-up, night walk is returning to Whistler this summer.
Known as Vallea Lumina, the interactive experience is presented by by Montreal-based entertainment studio, Moment Factory and Whistler’s very own “The Adventure Group.”
And this year, the event is set for an early-season opening, with weekend operation kicking off on Saturday, May 18.

From there, the immersive show will run May 19, 24, 25, 31, as well as June 1.
Beginning June 7, showtimes will run nightly through until October 14.
The 1.5 km walk is staged at Cougar Mountain. Located just eight minutes north of Whistler Village, the night walk uses the lush rainforest and a stunning array of mountain and valley views as the backdrop.

Through the use of emotive lights, video, soundscape, and scenography, guests are “transported” to another world with opportunities to touch, play, and explore their new environment.
Without giving away too much of the magic, here’s a sneak peek of what visitors can expect:
Vallea Lumina launches on Saturday, May 18, and will run daily until October. The experience begins at sundown and walks will occur every 20 minutes.
The trail will take approximately one hour to complete and a complimentary shuttle will be provided to transport visitors between Whistler Village and Cougar Mountain.
