'Epitome of luxury': Vancouver penthouse listed for eighth time in three years

A luxury Vancouver penthouse atop the Rogers Tower (formerly the Shaw Tower) is on sale again, and it marks the eighth listing for the property in just three years.
In the most recent listing, which went up just over a week ago, the penthouse at 1077 West Cordova St. was listed for $18,880,000.
Before that listing, the previous two listings were listed at the same price, dating back to April 2024. The assessed value of the property is much lower, currently valued at $13,655,000. Zealty has archived listings dating back to April 2022, when the property was listed for $23,888,800. The assessed value was slightly higher that year ($17,295,000).

Considering how high up the suite is, and how close to the water the property is, the views from up top of Vancouver, Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, English Bay and the mountains are virtually unrivalled.

This luxury property is yet another example of the struggles some agencies have had finding buyers for ultra-luxury properties, or properties listed for over $10 million.
In its most recent report on luxury housing in the region, Sotheby’s International Realty Canada said that the market is experiencing stagnation, more so than any other major Canadian real estate market.
According to Zealty’s listing database, over the past six months, only three properties in the Vancouver area have sold for over $10 million. Widening our date range to the last 12 months, the number of properties sold for over $10 million increases to eight.
