City of Vancouver

Most municipalities are recognized as well-paying employers, and the City of Vancouver is no exception, offering numerous jobs with living wages.
The roles apply to individuals from all backgrounds and experience levels, with many positions not requiring a degree. However, some of the jobs that the City of Vancouver is hiring for may require completing a course or undergoing training.
If the heat has you bogged down, how about working as an ice skating instructor? The City is looking for one, and it pays up to $32.20 an hour. While the position doesn’t require a degree, it does require that applicants complete Grade 10 along with training courses related to skating instruction. First aid training is also required.
Bank of Montreal
BMO is the 8th largest bank in North America by assets. With a customer base of 13 million people, this is a big company with lots of room for growth!
Some of the jobs on offer in Metro Vancouver include financial planner, mortgage specialist, treasury and payment specialist, and many more.

Vancouver-born lululemon Athletica is hiring.
Positions vary regarding experience and education required, but most jobs pay well and come with great benefits and bonuses.
There are more than 100 jobs listed on the lululemon site, with open roles including guest experience lead, manager of design, and digital educator. Check them out here.
Amazon
Amazon is hiring for countless positions in Vancouver, including dozens of engineering jobs and research and leadership roles.

Amazon teams looking to bolster their ranks include the eCommerce Foundation, Amazon Web Services, Amazon Payments, and International Stores. If you have experience in related fields, check out the jobs listed on its site.
Safe Software
Surrey-based Safe Software is the creator of FME, which it describes as the only All-Data, Any-AI enterprise integration platform.
Named one of BC’s Top Employers for 2025, Safe is hiring for several roles, including a Python software developer, director of marketing, and graphic designer.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Artists, engineers and producers at Sony Pictures Imageworks are responsible for creating visually stunning animations for films like Spider-Man, Smurfs, and Castaway.
If you’ve dreamed of using your skills to create stunning works of art, luckily there are plenty of jobs listed in Vancouver.
Jobs have been posted for animators, matte painters, FX artists, and modelers, among many other gigs.

City of Coquitlam
Coquitlam is offering a variety of jobs in various areas of expertise.
One of those jobs is the regular part-time position of parking patrol officer.
The union role pays up to $37.32 per hour. The minimum qualifications include a grade 12 education and experience in regulatory, investigational, and enforcement work. A Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required, and preference will be given to applicants who have completed the Bylaw 1 course at the Justice Institute of BC or equivalent coursework.
If you have any fitness-related certification, Coquitlam is hiring a casual gymnastics instructor for seniors. The gig requires certification through the National Coaching Certification Program and first aid certification. The role pays up to $38.40 per hour plus four per cent in lieu of benefits.

Aritzia’s job board has positions available at several stores in the Lower Mainland.
The popular fashion brand is seeking individuals to fill the roles of style advisors, retail associates, and custodians.

If you enjoy working with animals and appreciate the work that the BC SPCA does throughout the province, the organization is hiring for several positions, including some that offer a living wage.
BC SPCA will also pay for you to complete specific courses that are required for some of the roles.
The organization is currently hiring for a number of positions, including animal care attendants, animal control officers, and a regional manager for its animal protection services.
Providence Health Care
Providence Health Care operates hospitals, residences, and clinics in BC. It is “committed to excellence in patient- and family-centred care,” according to its careers page.
Multiple roles are currently available at Providence across departments, including licensed practical nurses, admin assistants, and carpenters and electricians.
