Epic outdoor film festival returns to Metro Vancouver this month

Chilly temperatures are on the horizon for Vancouver, and that means it’s the perfect time to bundle up for fall and winter adventures.
Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) is helping to inspire outdoor enthusiasts of all skill levels with its 2026 Fall Series, taking place from Nov. 13 to 22 across four cities and a Sea to Sky destination.
The in-person screenings and events feature a thrilling lineup of films celebrating skiing, climbing, mountain biking, and more.
Guests will also hear from inspiring guest speakers and thought-provoking filmmakers from around the world.

“This Fall Series, we’re thrilled to welcome speakers like Connor Emeny and Alenka Mali who are breaking barriers in their sports, and sharing the intimate stories behind their success,” said Ivan Hughes, VIMFF programming and partnerships director, to Daily Hive.
“We’re also excited to host Reel Rock 20 at both the Rio Theatre and SilverCity Riverport, bringing new climbing films to new communities.”
There are over 30 films to choose from in VIMFF’s Fall Series lineup, and a speaker lineup that includes two-time world record breaker Connor Emeny (Extreme Antarctica show) and BASE jumping and snowboarding legend Alenka Mali (Ski & Snow Show).
Highlights at the Rio Theatre include Bike Night on Nov. 15 and the Ski & Snow Show on Nov. 18.
