6 can't-miss Vancouver food events happening this week: March 4 to 10

If you’re anything like us, the hunger for unique and delicious food and beverage-centred events is as strong as ever. It’s a good thing Vancouver always delivers them in excess.

Here are Vancouver food events, in or around the city, to check out this week.

Riley Park Farmers’ Market (Winter Edition)

Formerly known as the Nat Bailey Farmers’ Market, the market was renamed after being changed to a year-round event. Visitors will be able to find over 30 producers and a selection of food and coffee trucks. The market also has amenities such as bike racks, an ATM on-site, and at times, live music.

When: Saturdays from now to April 27 from 10 am to 2 pm
Where: Nat Bailey Stadium – 4601 Ontario Street, Vancouver

Disco Dumplings at Burdock & Co

This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chili sauce.

When: Mondays at 8 pm (walk-ins only; reservations on Mondays will only be accepted until 6:30 pm)

Chocolate Laboratory Afternoon Tea at Notch8

The $59 per person service is set to feature a S’mores Crème Brûlée, a Triple Chocolate Scone & Raspberry White Chocolate Scone served with a Milk Chocolate Clotted Cream Mixed Berries Compote to start.

$5 poke at Steve’s Poké Bar Coquitlam

Steve’s Poké Bar will be offering $5 poke bowls at its fourth location in Coquitlam on March 9. The 1163 Pinetree Way shop in Henderson Mall will be serving up cheap bowls to anyone who brings their own bowl in regular or large sizes from 11 am to 8 pm.
