A new boozy science-themed afternoon tea launches in Vancouver February 28

Vancouver is no stranger to unique afternoon tea services, and on February 28 the city will be getting another special spread for tea lovers to experience.

Notch8 Restaurant and Bar, located in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, will be launching its Chocolate Laboratory Afternoon Tea tomorrow.

The $59 per person service is set to feature a S’mores Crème Brûlée, a Triple Chocolate Scone & Raspberry White Chocolate Scone served with a Milk Chocolate Clotted Cream Mixed Berries Compote to start.

Savoury eats like a Chili Chicken Sandwich, a Chocolate BLT, an Emperor Ham Swiss Crepe, Cocoa Gravlax, and a Chocolate Butter Dipped Red Radish will be a part of this epic spread.

For sweet stuff, patrons can expect a Popcorn Brownie, a Red Velvet Cream Puff, a Chocolate Jaffa Cake, a Gold Popping Candy Chocolate Sable, and a Chocolate Waffle served with Caramelized Banana and Sour Cream Chantilly.

For an additional charge, guests can opt to order some lab cocktails like the Cocoa Combustion, a drink for two made from Lot35 earl grey tea, crème de cacao, Kraken spiced rum, and fresh lemon.

Other concoctions include the Oscillating Clock made with Empress Gin, simple syrup, lemon, and tonic, and Charlie’s Golden Ticket made from Lillet, crème de cacao, Jameson, fresh lemon, and shaved chocolate.

Reserve your spot at this tea from Thursdays to Sundays at 11 am, 1 pm, or 3 pm.
