The month of June is going to be freaking delicious, at least, if you attend one of these epic shindigs (or a few) it surely will be.
Whether you’re aiming to sip on stellar wines, hit up a food truck festival, or make it to a night market, June is going to be the month the get your summer eating and drinking started.
Here are some awesome food events happening in or around Vancouver in June.
Juke Fried Chicken is hosting a Hip Hop Trivia Night on the third Tuesday of every month kicking off at 7 pm. Teams of up to six are invited to take part in five rounds of questions on all things hip hop. There will be food and drink specials and prizes up for grabs too. Sign up as an individual or a team of up to six via email ([email protected]), Instagram or Facebook to guarantee a spot, or simply walk-in night-of.

This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chili sauce.

Popular local juicery and cafe The Juice Truck will be teaming up with Vancouver’s TMRW Foods for a drool-worthy weekly event. The Juice Truck’s Main Street location will host a weekly pop-up on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm.

Back at it again, North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market is returning for Spring and Summer 2019. Gathering some of Vancouver’s best food vendors, this free event will feature a full farmers’ and artisan marketplace along with local food trucks and live entertainment weekly until 10 pm.

The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is back for its sixth year featuring delicious grub-on-wheels, drinks, and more. This year brings seven drool-worthy events from the Fraser Valley Food Truck Association, and the first one kicks off on April 27.

This market draws crowds from across the province, who travel to check out the rows on rows of vibrant cuisine along with the diverse line-up of nightly performances on the 50-foot entertainment stage.

Ancora will be hosting al-fresco events at both of its locations on June 8 that will feature paella and rosé, and you’re going to want to be there.

Join thousands of Vancouverites in a celebration of all things Italian as Commercial Drive will transform into a vibrant 14-block car-free zone, featuring over 120 merchants, food vendors, and entertainment.

On June 5 Di Beppe officially opens its Carrall Street patio section for the summer months by hosting a Patio Launch Party from 4 to 6 pm. Attendees can enjoy half-price spritzes and complimentary chicchetti (small bites).

Yuwa Japanese and Cuisine is hosting a one-night-only dinner on June 12 at 6:30 pm, Yuwa Sommelier and Co-Owner Iori Kataoka will welcome That’s Life Gourmet’s Mariko Taijiri and Mr. Munetaka Nakashima from Nakashima Jozo.

This event is the largest one day Greek festival in Vancouver and it attracts more than 100,000 people every year. This year it’s taking place on June 23 in a five-block stretch from McDonald to Blenheim Street.
