If you’re anything like us, the hunger for unique and delicious food and beverage-centred events is as strong as ever. It’s a good thing Vancouver always delivers them in excess.
Here are Vancouver food events, in or around the city, to check out this week.
This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chili sauce.

Popular local juicery and cafe The Juice Truck will be teaming up with Vancouver’s TMRW Foods for a drool-worthy weekly event. The Juice Truck’s Main Street location will host a weekly pop-up on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm.

Back at it again, North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market is returning for Spring and Summer 2019. Gathering some of Vancouver’s best food vendors, this free event will feature a full farmers’ and artisan marketplace along with local food trucks and live entertainment weekly until 10 pm.

Running from May 10 to October 14, 2019, this wildly popular event is gearing up for another season filled with epic eats and live entertainment. There will be over 100 food vendors and 200 retail stalls this year.

This rain-or-shine weekly event goes down in the parking lot at Capilano Mall every Saturday in June from 11 am to 6 pm. Entry is free for folks aiming to enjoy the weekly rotating selection of food trucks on site.

The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is back for its sixth year featuring delicious grub-on-wheels, drinks, and more. This year brings seven drool-worthy events from the Fraser Valley Food Truck Association, and the first one kicks off on April 27.

On June 5 Di Beppe officially opens its Carrall Street patio section for the summer months by hosting a Patio Launch Party from 4 to 6 pm. Attendees can enjoy half-price spritzes and complimentary chicchetti (small bites).

Yuwa Japanese and Cuisine is hosting a one-night-only dinner on June 12 at 6:30 pm, Yuwa Sommelier and Co-Owner Iori Kataoka will welcome That’s Life Gourmet’s Mariko Taijiri and Mr. Munetaka Nakashima from Nakashima Jozo.

These popular events offer attendees killer tunes and, of course, local craft beer from the brewery. Pair this with food trucks and good vibes, and attending these shindigs is a no-brainer.

As part of the second installment of the Fortune Food Fair event series, Fortune Sound Club family will feature four local vendors: Riz, Hooked Poke Bar, Pokey Okey, and The PokéMan, who will all compete to be the “Best in BC”. A ticket includes admission and one complimentary sample from each of the four poke vendors and exclusive access to purchase added classic and contemporary Poke Pop Up menu selections.
