If November was the appetizer, December is the main, and we can’t wait to dig in.

December is here, and that means it’s the unofficial month of eating and drinking, and we’re totally A-okay with that.

Clearly, Vancouver bars and restaurants are prepared to feed us well for the next 31 days, because this lineup of dinners, festivals, and food-centric events is pretty epic.

Make the last month of 2019 a delicious one. Here are all the can’t-miss food events happening in December.

Big Day BBQ at The American

The Big Day BBQ at The American tailgate launched in September and has been running every Sunday since until the end of the year. Enjoy Texas-style brisket, ribs, pulled pork, Tex-Mex pasta salad, smokey slaw, and pit beans too.

School of Magic Afternoon Tea

Trump Champagne Lounge’s School of Magic Afternoon Tea will start on September 16 and run through December 1. The service begins with an assortment of artisanal scones, followed by savoury selections like a Pretzel & Cheese Broomstick, Mrs. Sprout’s Pasty, and Ron’s Chicken Leg to name a few.

Nutcracker Afternoon Tea

Bells and Whistles’ Sunday Night Movie Series: Christmas Edition

This month Bells and Whistles is getting festive with screenings of Die Hard (December 1), Planes, Trains and Automobiles (December 8), Home Alone (December 15), Elf (December 22), and The Apartment (December 29).

Krampus Market at Strange Fellows Brewing

Kensington Holiday Craft Fair

The 12th annual Kensington Holiday Craft Fair features holiday gifts and stocking stuffers crafted by local artisans. In addition to free parking, the event hosts a raffle and door prizes for attendees.

Got Craft? Holiday Edition

Got Craft? works to create a community supporting handmade and do-it-yourself culture. Since being founded in 2007, their bi-annual fairs bring together more than 75 designers and craft workshops, tasty treats, music, free bags, and a collective attendance of more than 5,500 per year.

Tacofino X Bingo Babes at Hastings Commissary

Tacofino Hastings Commissary will be hosting a welcome Bingo Babes for a Bingo fundraiser on December 9. Partial proceeds will go towards the Environmental Youth Alliance.

Make It Vancouver

The Make It! Holiday Show is a fun, upbeat shopping experience that hosts a number of artists, crafters, and makers from all across Canada. Each year, in addition to more than 250 exhibitors, the holiday show features a beer garden, live music, and food trucks.

Fridays on Front Holiday Market 2019

Last year, this event was licensed and featured Steel & Oak Brewing Co. and Pacific Breeze Winery beverages too, along with an artisan market and live music. This is a can’t-miss holiday event, so be sure to mark your calendar and get in on the festive fun at this special edition of Friday on Front.

Mensch Jewish Delicatessen Pop-up

Mensch will be popping up on select dates at Kafka’s Coffee (577 Great Northern Way), where a selection of eats like its signature slow-brined, smoked, hand-cut New York-style hot pastrami sandwich on fresh rye bread will be available.

Shiny Fuzzy Muddy

Established in 2003, Shiny Fuzzy Muddy features all kinds of handmade goods and products for the holiday season. Alba White Truffles Dinner

The Alba White Truffles Dinner will definitely be one to remember. Hosted at Richmond’s Origo Club, this six-course dinner (plus wine pairing) will highlight the aromatic trifola d’Alba Madonna (“Truffle of the White Madonna”). Both chef Pino Posteraro and chef David Pan will be serving three dishes each.

The Vegan Night Market – Holiday Party
