Vancouver fintech company Payfirma teams up with Canadian Western Bank

Vancouver-based payment tech company Payfirma is making a big step into the banking world by partnering with Canadian Western Bank (CWB) Financial Group.

Payfirma provides hardware and software needed to accept payments online, in store, and on mobile devices.

Their new partnership with CWB will give the bank its own, white-label version of Payfirma’s payment platform PayHQ.

“We couldn’t be happier about our new partnership and everyone at Payfirma is excited!” said Michael Gokturk, CEO of Payfirma, in a release.

“We look forward to collaborative innovation with CWB to push the boundaries of what is available in the market today.”

Stephen Murphy, executive vice president of CWB Financial Group praised up and coming tech companies like Payfirma.

CWB is the first bank in Canada to provide Payfirma’s PayHQ to all of their business customers.
