Starlight Theatre at Lansdowne Centre – The Greatest Showman

- What: Take a trip back to the days of poodle-skirts, greased hair, and doo-wop music – the Drive-In Movie Series returns to Lansdowne Centre for its third year, presented by Fresh Air Cinema. Enjoy classic, family-friendly, and even some of the latest hits on an outdoor screen. Take a drive and cuddle up, or bring a blanket and lawn chair and settle in. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis (first 200 vehicles), and the movie audio will be broadcast over FM radio. Keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event, so smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited.

Nature Watch by Canoe
- What: Dip your paddle in the calm backwater of the Fraser River and enjoy a nature tour by canoe. Ages 13+.

Sounds of Summer Music Series
- What: From Bluegrass to New Orleans Jazz, Surrey’s free Sounds of Summer concert series brings toe-tapping tunes to the city’s beautiful park settings. Please bring blankets or folding chairs to enjoy each performance.

City Centre’s Concerts in the Park Series
- What: Enjoy a night of fun activities and entertainment by local artists at Garden City Park. This event is for all ages, and disability access is available.

Summer Movie Nights on the Square
- What: Vancouver is getting a whole new free outdoor movie series as šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (formerly Vancouver Art Gallery’s North Plaza) is set to play host to Summer Movie Nights on the Square. Each Wednesday evening from July 4 to August 29, Fresh Air Cinema’s large, four-storey inflatable screen will pop up, creating the perfect urban environment to take in a flick surrounded by the concrete jungle – just be sure to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets.

- What: Award-winning comedian David Cross returns to Canada with his new stand-up show, “Oh Come On.” David is an Emmy Award winner and Grammy Award nominee. Fans will recognize him from Arrested Development, Mr. Show, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Women’s Voices in the Americas
- What: “Women’s Voices in the Americas” is a filmmakers panel that provides a different, intercultural perspective of the Americas told using women’s voices. This event uses works created by women as a starting point for dialogue and incorporates unique historical views showcasing cultures in the Americas from the point of view of women.
