Summer Movie Nights on the Square – Pitch Perfect

What: Vancouver’s free outdoor movie series in downtown at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (formerly Vancouver Art Gallery’s North Plaza) features Pitch Perfect on July 10. Fresh Air Cinema’s large four-storey inflatable screen will pop up, creating the perfect urban environment to take in a flick surrounded by the concrete jungle — just be sure to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets.

Hosted by the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, each night will have special activations for the public to enjoy, including photo booths, light displays, food trucks, and more.

BC Superweek 2019 – Global Relay Gastown

What: The Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix is one of the most historic cycling events in North America and boasts the highest one day prize purse for both the winning prize and total prize purse for a Canadian Criterium. With over 20,000 spectators in attendance it’s sure to be an electrifying experience.

Queer Improv Festival 2019

What: ​Enjoy a variety of queer improv and comedy at QIF 2019. Shows include QP Drag Race, Off Key and Uncle Janes, Coming Out Stories, and more. Everyone is welcome.

Trigger Me This

What: A new show from Richard Side (creator of CBC’s The Debaters) that asks a panel of talented comedians and the audience to decide where jokes cross the line and go from being inoffensive to being off-putting and even toxic. Trigger Me This features Zarqa Nawaz, creator of the hit sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie, Vancouver favourite Yumi Nagashima, and Canadian Comedy Awards nominee Darcy Michael with Richard Side playing host. Part of Indian Summer Festival.

Queen + Adam Lambert 2019 Rhapsody Tour

What: The British rockers and the American singer are back together for a revamped Rhapsody tour that will feature a brand new larger-than-life production. The six-week North American tour will kick off in Vancouver on July 10 at Rogers Arena and will see Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Adam Lambert perform in arenas across the US and Canada.

Lansdowne Centre Drive-In Movie Series – Oceans 8

What: The Drive-In Movie Series returns to Lansdowne Centre for its fourth year, presented by Fresh Air Cinema. Enjoy Oceans 8 on an outdoor screen. Take a drive and cuddle up, or bring a blanket and lawn chair and settle in. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis (first 200 vehicles), and the movie audio will be broadcast over FM radio. Keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event, so smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited.

What: Kiefer Sutherland, star of hit television drama 24, is stepping in front of a microphone instead of the camera, and is hitting the stage for a concert in Vancouver. On Wednesday, July 10, at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, he will be performing songs from his 2016 debut album ‘Down In A Hole,’ and his forthcoming album ‘Reckless.’
