This is a summer festival like no other — celebrating innovation, creativity, and wisdom.

The 9th annual Indian Summer Festival is truly designed for the curious-minded.

This year, they’ve organized a series of events inviting tricksters, magicians, and oracles from around the world to showcase their talent in Vancouver from July 4 to 14.

Sorry if this disappoints, but there won’t be any fortune-tellers predicting your death or bunnies being pulled out of hats. There’s no magic involved here whatsoever.

The real magic is in what the lineup of performers and speakers have to offer this year.

The tricksters will challenge your ideas of truth, magicians will conjure beautiful creations and realities from out of thin air, and oracles will share their ideas of what the future may hold.

So really, you can expect 11 days of futurists, novelists, stand-up comedians, musicians, and storytellers to inspire, challenge, and leave you in awe.

The highlights of the festival this year are:

Indian Summer Festival Opening Party
Selling out eight years in a row, attendees enjoy the finest food cooked up by the city’s best chefs. Enjoy an evening with the legendary Vikram Vij and his friends on Thursday, July 4.

Conjuring the Future
This will be a night debuting a multicultural celebration of Vancouver’s latest talents in diasporic music, movement, and poetry, on Saturday, July 6.

Hari Kondabolu Live in Vancouver
As one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch”, Hari Kondabolu is performing comedy for a night you won’t forget on Saturday, July 13.

Transformation Teaparty
